What does a letter cost?

A paper letter costs real money. Uely fetches a quote for print and shipping, adds the Uely margin and shows you the amount before payment. Shipping type is A-Post.

Region note: A-Post pricing and Swiss postage partners apply to this path.

  1. Open a draft in Post, or a document.
  2. Choose Brief (in Post) or Als Brief senden (on a document).
  3. Check recipient, address, page count and price. Type the address here if it is not stored yet.
  4. Pay at checkout.
  5. After payment Uely hands the letter to print and shipping. The address stays on the contact; a recipient you only type becomes a contact so the next letter stays in the same conversation.

Postal mail is not usage credit. The price display depends on page count, shipping type (A-Post) and current partner price. Uely rounds the final price to sensible cent steps.

Empty content and documents that are too long are rejected. If you wait between quote and payment, the partner price can change and you must request again.

If shipping fails after payment, Uely marks the letter as failed and automatically attempts a refund.

Why does the letter price change between quote and checkout?
