What are places?
You want to record a spot and read on the map what belongs to it. Places are buildings, parcels, meeting points and pins. Jobs, products, documents and photos hang on them.
- Open Places.
- Choose Personal or a Team.
- Switch between List and Map.
- Tap an entry. The page shows the map and the history. The dossier shows the state at the marker.
- Create a place with New place or by tapping an empty point. For a parcel, a field or an area you draw the outline.
- Above the map you choose Map, Aerial, True colour or an index image. A day with no image stays grey.
- Discuss in chat opens chat with this place. Edit geometry moves the outline.
If a new point lies inside an existing area, no second place is created. The name is kept as another name.
Refresh situation fetches surroundings, satellite and soil again and uses credit. The entry names the cost first. The first situation image after you draw is fetched by Uely, without credit. Over 50 ha, or without a drawn area, the entry is grey and names the reason. Fetch image fetches a single day, names the cost and asks first.
Fields and crops
Section titled “Fields and crops”This section applies when you keep a parcel or a field.
If you draw the outline up to 50 ha, the index images sit on the area. Under Situation you see soil, slope and zone. In Zurich and Thurgau the cantonal crop areas are added, with a date. Uely does not fetch owner names.
The method of a temperature sum, or of a balance since sowing, is named on the card. If Uely does not recognise the crop, the block stays away.
Cantonal field files you upload under Training, tab Connections. If you already drew the area, the declaration attaches to your outline when the areas overlap. Identifier, use, area and tree count are the declaration for that year. A later cut belongs in the history, not in the declaration.
What it costs and who sees it
Section titled “What it costs and who sees it”A personal place belongs to your area. Team places are visible to active members. The Home pin in the profile stays personal and is a point, not an area.
The place stays private. If you publish a job or a product, the market shows an approximate pin, not the outline.
When something goes wrong
Section titled “When something goes wrong”If the map looks empty, the place has no point and appears only in the list.
If the outline is a thin strip, draw it again under Edit geometry. Index images sit on the map only once the outline is an area.
In a team context with no team selected you see no places until you select a team.
