How do subscription and usage credit work?
This behaviour is changing. As of: 2026-08-12. Current commercial details: uely.ch/preise.
Uely work is metered: chat, training, dictation, portal fetches or background work can use credit. Reading, manual editing, teams, marketplace and invoices do not automatically run on this credit.
- Open Abrechnung (Settings or the AKh figure in the sidebar).
- At the top you see your current plan and the split between plan credit and purchased credit.
- Under Balance choose an AKh amount and top up: at a fixed price per AKh.
- Under History you find usage, balance movements and plan receipts.
What you should know
Section titled “What you should know”There is included credit from a plan and additionally purchased credit. The product spends included credit first, then purchased. Purchased credit remains if you end a subscription and does not expire.
Instead of fixed packs you choose the AKh amount. The price follows from the fixed rate per AKh.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”If your credit is empty, metered actions do not start. Marketplace, manual editing, invoices, finances and real post can still have their own rules and payments.
So this does not surprise you: when your credit runs low (under 10 units), a notice appears in chat above the input line. When it is empty, your message is not answered: a card with a link to Abrechnung appears instead. After topping up you can resend it right away. Other actions such as uploads or dictation point you to Abrechnung as well.

Section titled “What stops when credit is empty?”Uely work: chat, training, dictation, automation and similar tasks. Plain reading as well as teams, marketplace, invoices and manual editing remain possible. Real letter shipping is a separate CHF payment, not usage credit.
What is the difference between plan credit and purchased credit?
Section titled “What is the difference between plan credit and purchased credit?”Plan credit comes with the subscription and renews periodically. Purchased credit is extra and remains if you end a subscription. Uely spends plan credit first, then purchased.
Does purchased credit expire?
Section titled “Does purchased credit expire?”No. Purchased credit is not replaced on every month change. Commercial details are on uely.ch/preise.
Do I get money back if I change plan?
Section titled “Do I get money back if I change plan?”A plan change changes future included credit. It is not an automatic CHF refund for usage already spent. Purchased credit remains. On upgrade, extra plan credit is granted immediately on a pro-rata basis; a downgrade takes effect next period.
Where do I find my plan receipts?
Section titled “Where do I find my plan receipts?”Under Abrechnung → History → Plan receipts. You can download paid and open Stripe receipts there.
