Why should I set up my profile?

Your profile is the business card Uely reuses in documents, letters, invoices and answers. The more accurate it is, the less you have to explain the same facts every time.

  1. Open Profil.
  2. Add name, business or organisation, and a description.
  3. Type your address into the street, postal code, town and canton fields.
  4. Add IBAN and VAT number if you need them.
  5. Check your public profile if you make products, jobs or content visible.

Address and location are two separate entries. You type the address yourself; it feeds letters, invoices and your public place name. Location is a map pin you set separately: it drives weather, regional content and distances. Neither is derived from the other: Uely never reads your address from a map position, nor the reverse.

Upload your profile picture directly in Profil (JPG, PNG or WebP, max. 5 MB).

Region note: VAT numbers, IBAN and Swiss address formats are especially relevant for Swiss billing and marketplace flows. IBAN and VAT data matter when you want to issue invoices or receive payments. Uely cannot seriously guess missing master data; if your profile is empty, documents and suggestions stay more generic.

No. Uely also works for trades, freelancers, students and small organisations. The profile is often historically called Betrieb or Hof, but it means your work context.

Private profile fields stay in your personal area. Public profile views and listings show only what that surface needs.
