How do contacts and Kollegen work?
Under Contacts you find other users, collect them as Kollegen, and invite people by link: to connect, to a team, or to a job.
- Open Contacts.
- In the Discover tab, search by name, business, or place, or check Near you.
- Tap Kollegisieren on a person: they receive a request.
- Answer incoming requests in the Requests tab with Accept or Decline.
- Your connected contacts live in the Kollegen tab and in your contact list.
What to know
Section titled “What to know”Kollegisieren is mutual: you are connected only once the other person accepts. You can withdraw a sent request anytime and remove a connection anytime: both sides lose the contact.
Connected people appear as contacts in your contact list. When writing a letter or inviting to teams and jobs, the app suggests your Kollegen first, and Uely can address them directly, for example for a letter draft.
Being connected unlocks nothing and blocks nothing: messages, team invites, and job invites work with every user. A connection is a saved link, not a permission.
New accounts receive a request from Flo. Accepting puts him under Kollegen. Messaging in Post works without accepting.
Near you only works with your approximate location. Set it in your profile if you want to see profiles around you. Others never see your exact address, only the rounded location.
Invitations by link
Section titled “Invitations by link”Invite by link creates a link you can share via WhatsApp, SMS, or any other channel: on the contacts page for connecting, in the team dialog for a team, in the job dialog for a job.
- The link shows a public preview before the invited person signs in.
- Accepting applies instantly: connections are mutual, team invitees become members, job invitees count as applicants.
- Each link works once and expires after 30 days. For more people, just create a new link.
If something goes wrong
Section titled “If something goes wrong”A link reports “no longer valid”: it has been used or has expired. Create a new one.
A sent request stays unanswered: withdraw it in the Requests tab under Sent and contact the person directly.
Questions
Section titled “Questions”Can others see my contact list?
Section titled “Can others see my contact list?”No. Your Kollegen and requests are only visible to you. The other side only sees that you are connected.
Can I contact someone without connecting?
Section titled “Can I contact someone without connecting?”Yes. Profiles, messages, and invitations are open to all users. Kollegisieren simply keeps the contact in your list.
